What is your style of photography?
A blend of formal and informal. I will aim to include as many of the classic shots as possible, such as signing the register and cutting the cake, but I will also focus on capturing the spontaneous emotions of the day.

Do you photograph more than one wedding in a day?
No, because I like to concentrate fully on one wedding at a time to maximize the photographic coverage and produce as wide a selection of images as possible.

Do you charge extra to take photos at the bride's house?
No, when booking a traditional or contemporary wedding package, there is no extra charge for taking photos of the bride preparing for her wedding prior to the ceremony.

Do you charge extra to cover the speeches?
No, I will happily stay on and cover the speeches at no extra charge.

How many photos do you take?
The number of photos depends on  the type of package selected and other factors such as weather conditions, the number of guests at the wedding and the amount of time available between the end of the ceremony and the start of the wedding breakfast. The aim is always to produce a wide selection of good quality images. For a medium size wedding around 200 to 300 images are usually displayed as proofs.

How do you proof the photos?
The images are displayed in the Proofs section of my website. As well as giving you the opportunity to look at the photos in the comfort of your own home, it also enables your family, friends and relatives to view and order photos if they wish.

How long does it take before the proof images are ready for viewing?
One to two weeks, but during busy periods it may take longer.

Is it possible to have some photos in black and white?
Yes, if you would like some b&w photos, I can pick out the images I think will look good in b&w and display them as b&w proofs on my website. When you compile the list of photos for your album just let me know which images you would like in b&w.

Can you apply special effects?
Yes, special effects are a feature of the contemporary album packages. Have a look at the Album Design page to see how digital effects can be used to enhance the look of an album page. If you order a contemporary album I will custom design the pages to include a range of digital special effects.

How many images can we select for the album?
This depends on the package you select. Traditional albums accommodate a fixed number of photos depending on the number of pages in the album. A standard size album would take 40 photos. If you opt for a contemporary album, more than one image can be placed on a page and the images can be presented at different sizes. An A4 contemporary album will look good with around 60 images and an A3 contemporary album works well with around 90 images.

Can we see proofs of the contemporary album pages before they are printed?
Yes, when the contemporary album pages have been custom designed I will upload them to my website so you can view them. At this stage changes can still be made before the pages go to print.

Is it possible for our parents to order a smaller album with their own selection of photos?
Yes, a range of parent albums is available. Please see the Prices page for details.

Do you charge extra for travel expenses?
Not unless the wedding takes place at a distance of 50 miles or more from Dorchester and then a small additional charge will be made to cover petrol, but this will be agreed with you at the time of the booking.

Do you accept credit cards?
A cheque is preferred, but credit cards are accepted via PayPal.
